Staring Back

Scream quietly, dear
This sorrow begs release.
Where fractures drive
Quickly into ruin.
No truths hidden
As the mirror shows,
These forms of
Broken scars linger.
On roads carved of
Deepen journeys
Staring back through
Clouds long passed.
Thoughts once sharpen,
Acutely remembered
Fades in blurs
Of confusion that
Raises questions.
No longer know what
Stands before the image,
Where views raged
Over the detours.
Challenging the
Request for answers,
Slowing the reasoning
Where it lays, awakened.
